Lawyer SEO marketing in the UK, from day one to day ten
The Price Transparency Pack is £890 and takes 10 working days. Below is what happens on each of them, what you receive at the end, and what it will not do. Most suppliers will not publish a price or a timescale. Both are on this page.

What happens in the first ten working days?
Two days of reading, three of drafting, three of building, two of handover.
| Days | What is done | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Read the site as it stands, list the searches your practice areas actually attract, pull your figures from the 52-city dataset | A findings note, plain English |
| 3–5 | Draft the price and service information for the areas of work you tell us are in scope | Draft copy, for your review |
| 6–8 | Build the pages, structured data, internal links, mobile rendering | Pages on a staging link |
| 9 | Your amendments | Revised pages |
| 10 | Handover | Live pages, plus a one-page note on what to watch |
Day 3 is where firms are most often surprised. We do not decide which of your services fall in scope — you tell us, having taken your own advice, and we write what you specify.
Does SEO work for law firms?
Yes, on a delay, and it is worth being exact about what "works" means.
It does not mean a position. Nobody controls Google's results, and the eight suppliers out of forty who claim a guarantee are claiming something they cannot deliver. What the work reliably produces is a site that answers the questions people search before instructing a solicitor, which is the precondition for being found at all.
The measurable part arrives in this order:
- Weeks 2–6 — pages indexed, impressions begin appearing in Search Console.
- Months 3–4 — positions move, usually from beyond page three into the twenties and teens.
- Months 6–9 — clicks follow, and the work can be judged fairly.
The first quarter shows impressions rising while clicks stay flat. That is the shape of a page climbing from position 30 toward 11, where nobody clicks yet, and it is indistinguishable from failure unless somebody shows you the underlying data.
Why does the UK order differ from the US one?
Because the UK has a publication requirement and the other markets do not.
The SRA Transparency Rules came into force on 6 December 2018 and require firms to publish price and service information for specified areas of work. That makes the price pages the natural first build in this market rather than the last — they are wanted anyway, and they happen to be what the highest-intent searches ask for.
Which of your services fall in scope is a question for you and your own advisers. We are a marketing supplier. We build what you specify and we do not advise on the rules themselves.
Should a firm use an AI tool to write these pages?
For a first draft of something you then correct, sometimes. For the finished page, no.
The failure is specific and shows up in this practice area more than most: a general-purpose model will produce a fluent paragraph about fixed fees for an area of work your firm does not offer, at a price you do not charge, and it reads perfectly well. Somebody who knows the file has to check every factual sentence, and on a price page that check takes longer than writing it did.
We use tooling to generate meta tags and structured data from copy already written and checked, so the schema cannot drift from what a reader sees. That is a different job from generating the claims themselves.
What does it cost?
| What | Price |
|---|---|
| Price Transparency Pack | £890, delivered in 10 working days |
| Firm Site | £2,400 |
| Firm Site+ | £4,200 |
| Authority Build | £6,900 |
| Retainers | £600, £1,200 or £2,400 per month, no minimum term |
Take £700 off a build with six months of retainer.
Of 40 legal-marketing suppliers we read in full on 3 August 2026, twelve published a price at all, five showed only a "from" range, eight claimed a guarantee of some kind, and one offered work with no minimum term. That last figure is why the row above says it plainly rather than in a contract you see later.
Never per enquiry, per lead or per matter. LASPO 2012 section 56 prohibits referral fees in prescribed legal business including personal injury, and it binds the firm paying as well as the party being paid.
What will this not do?
Three things, said now rather than at the point of invoice.
- It will not produce instructions this quarter. If you need matters now, that is paid search, and we do not manage ad spend.
- It will not fix what happens after an enquiry arrives. Who answers, how fast, and what is recorded sit inside the firm and decide whether any of this was worth buying.
- It will not make you compliant with anything. We build what you specify. Your obligations remain yours.
What this is worth where you are
In London, 2,900 people a month search for immigration help, and Google charges around £18.75 for one of those clicks. We hold the same figures for 52 cities.
The free report gives you yours, plus which of the pages the rules ask for are missing from your site, and what 40 suppliers charge.
No call required. Our own prices are on that page.
Where should I read next?
On scope and delivery: seo services for law firm and legal seo services.
If the site itself is the constraint: seo for law firm websites.
For firms competing in one city: local seo for law firm.
Wider than search: marketing for lawyer.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the first deliverable take?
Ten working days. Two days reading the site and pulling your figures, three drafting the price and service information, three building the pages, one for your amendments, one for handover.
What happens on day three?
Drafting the price and service information for the areas of work you have told us are in scope. We do not decide what falls in scope — you do, having taken your own advice, and we write what you specify.
Does SEO work for law firms?
Yes, on a delay. Impressions appear in weeks 2 to 6, positions move in months 3 to 4, and clicks follow in months 6 to 9. It does not mean a guaranteed position, which nobody controls.
Why do the first three months look like failure?
Because impressions rise while clicks stay flat. That is what a page climbing from position 30 toward 11 looks like, and nobody clicks at position 20. Without the underlying data it is indistinguishable from nothing happening.
Why does the UK build order differ from the US?
Because the SRA Transparency Rules, in force since 6 December 2018, require published price and service information for specified areas of work. Those pages are wanted anyway and are what the highest-intent searches ask for, so they come first here.
Should we use AI to write the pages?
For a first draft you then correct, sometimes. For the finished page, no. A general model will write fluently about fees you do not charge for work you do not do, and checking every factual sentence takes longer than writing it.
What does it cost?
£890 for the Price Transparency Pack, £2,400 for the Firm Site, £4,200 for Firm Site+, £6,900 for the Authority Build, and retainers at £600, £1,200 or £2,400 a month with no minimum term. Take £700 off a build with six months of retainer.
Can you be paid per enquiry?
No. LASPO 2012 section 56 prohibits referral fees in prescribed legal business including personal injury, and the restriction binds the firm paying as well as the party being paid.
