Legal SEO services in Houston, priced on the page

Two fixed scopes: a $1,450 Practice Sprint covering one practice area, and a $2,900 build covering the site it sits on. Both are priced by scope and time, never per inquiry. Neither includes advertising, intake, or link buying, and our price does not change with the city.

What is included in each of the two scopes?

A list narrow enough to hold us to, which is the point of publishing it.

The sprint is a set of pages about one practice area. The build is the site those pages sit on. A firm with a serviceable site and one area it wants more of needs the first and not the second, and we would rather say that before an invoice than after one.

Each page written carries its answer in the first forty words, because that is what gets lifted. AI Overviews appeared on 39 of 54 money searches we measured on 3 August 2026, and a page that opens with preamble is summarized without attribution.

What is excluded, and who does the excluded work?

Five things, each of which somebody else does better than we would.

Not includedWho does it
Advertising, and management of ad spendA media buyer, paid monthly
Intake — who answers, how fast, what is recordedThe firm, or call-answering software
Buying links or paid placementsNobody, in our opinion
Practice areas outside the agreed scopeA second sprint
Any view on how advertising rules apply to your firmThe firm and its own advisers

The second row is the one that costs firms most. A Houston probate click is priced at $25.74 and an injury click at $114.87, measured 3 August 2026, and an inquiry that reaches a voicemail on a Friday has consumed the full cost of getting it. We do not fix that, it sits inside the firm, and it decides whether any of this was worth buying.

The last row is not modesty. Lawyer advertising in the United States runs through ABA Model Rule 7.2(b), adopted differently by state, and how it applies to a particular firm is a question for that firm rather than for a supplier.

In what order does the work happen?

Scope first, writing second, build third, and the handover is a real event rather than a login emailed over.

Scoping settles one thing: which practice area, and which questions inside it. Writing follows, and it is the part that takes longest because the pages are drafted against what the firm actually does rather than assembled from a template. The build follows the writing, not the other way round, so the templates are shaped by pages that already exist. Handover transfers everything, including the ability to edit it without us.

A damaging admission, early. Month one is a build month and there is nothing to report at the end of it. The first quarter typically shows rising impressions against flat clicks, which is what moving from position 30 toward 11 looks like and reads exactly like failure. Three to four months for movement, six to nine before anybody can judge it. A firm needing matters this quarter needs paid campaigns instead, and we do not manage ad spend.

How many practice areas does one engagement cover?

One. A firm wanting two is buying two sprints, and the click price of the area tells you whether that is sensible.

Houston probate and estates carries 2,900 searches a month at $25.74, and Houston real estate 2,400 at $10.88, both measured 3 August 2026. Arithmetic, not a forecast: at those listed prices the $1,450 sprint costs roughly what 57 probate clicks cost, and the $2,900 build roughly what 267 real estate clicks cost. That is the comparison worth making before signing anything — not what the work costs, but what the same attention costs to rent for a month at Google's own prices.

The comparison also works against us. In a practice area priced at $10.88, a firm should ask us to scope down rather than pay the same fee it would pay for an expensive area. We will scope down. What we will not do is describe a market as larger than the figures say in order to keep the original number.

Which of these suppliers publishes what it charges?

Two of four, which is roughly the rate across the whole benchmark.

Of 40 legal-marketing suppliers we read in full on 3 August 2026, twelve published a price at all, five showed only a "from" range, eight claimed a guarantee, and one offered work with no minimum term. We recorded whether a figure was visible on the page and nothing more — not what the figure was, and nothing about what any of them sells or how well.

Where one of them is the better answer. There is no monthly retainer published for this market: $1,450 and $2,900 are the entire US price list, and both scopes finish. A firm that wants somebody working on this every month, indefinitely, is describing a continuing engagement that we do not sell here, and any of the four above who quotes honestly for that should win it.

What does it cost, and why never per inquiry?

$1,450 for the Practice Sprint, $2,900 for the build. Fixed, published, no minimum term.

Never per inquiry, per matter or per client. We charge for the work, by scope and time. Referral fees are restricted in prescribed legal business, which includes personal injury, and the restriction binds the firm paying as well as the party being paid.

We also decline the guarantee that eight of the forty suppliers offer. Nobody controls Google's ranking, ourselves included, and a promise about a position is a promise about something the person making it does not own.

What this is worth where you are

In Houston, 5,400 people a month search for an immigration attorney, and Google charges around $22.37 for one of those clicks, measured 3 August 2026. We hold the same figures for 52 cities.

Where should I read next?

The same scope without the city attached: legal seo services, and the underlying method in seo for law firm.

If the constraint is the site rather than the pages: website design attorney.

Wider than search, for a firm still choosing where to spend: lawyer seo marketing and marketing the law firm.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the $1,450 Practice Sprint?

One practice area: its main page, the questions asked before instruction, a page for each fee earner doing that work, a fees page, and the schema and metadata for each, handed over so the firm can edit them.

What is not included at any price?

Advertising and ad spend management, intake, link buying, practice areas outside the agreed scope, and any view on how advertising rules apply to your firm.

Do I need the build as well as the sprint?

Not if the existing site renders on a phone and the pages can be added to it — the sprint is pages, the build is the site those pages sit on.

Is there a monthly retainer for the United States?

No. $1,450 and $2,900 are the entire US price list, both scopes finish, and a firm wanting continuous monthly work should buy it from somebody who sells it.

How long before this produces anything?

Three to four months for movement and six to nine before it can be judged, with month one producing nothing measurable at all.

Can you charge per inquiry or per case instead?

No. We charge for the work by scope and time, because referral fees are restricted in prescribed legal business including personal injury, and the restriction binds the firm paying as well as the party paid.

Will you promise a ranking in Houston?

No, and neither can anyone else, though eight of the forty suppliers we read on 3 August 2026 claimed a guarantee of some kind.
