project intro

Julia Rana Solicitors is a London-based firm offering eight practice areas — from immigration and family law to corporate, employment, and charity law — serving individuals and businesses across the UK. Their existing site relied on generic template copy and offered no meaningful differentiation. The redesign needed to establish credibility, present services clearly, and make it straightforward for prospective clients to make an enquiry.

PROBLEM

The firm needed a website that reflected the quality of their legal work and the breadth of their practice — one that clearly presents eight specialist areas, builds personal trust through the solicitor’s own voice, and converts first-time visitors into enquiries without friction.

CHALLENGES

  • Serving such a broad range of clients — from individuals navigating immigration applications to businesses seeking corporate advice — meant the site had to serve very different audiences without feeling unfocused or overwhelming. Every practice area needed its own clear entry point.

OUR SOLUTION

We built a structured, content-led site with a distinct visual identity, clear practice area navigation, and a warm but professional tone that reflects how Julia Rana Solicitors actually work with clients — directly, honestly, and without unnecessary complexity.

Design Process

Research

We mapped how prospective clients approach a multi-practice firm — often arriving via a specific need (a visa refusal, a redundancy, a landlord dispute) rather than a general search. This shaped a navigation structure built around practice areas rather than firm-centric messaging.

Design

High-fidelity layouts were developed with a warm, considered visual identity — balancing professionalism with approachability. Each practice area page was structured to validate the visitor’s situation and present a clear path to booking a consultation.

Testing

Key enquiry flows were tested across mobile and desktop — from landing on a practice area page to submitting a contact form or clicking to call. Given the firm’s WhatsApp availability, messaging contact pathways were also validated for ease of access.

Feedback

Final refinements balanced the firm’s breadth of services with a coherent visual identity — ensuring the site feels specialist and trustworthy regardless of which practice area a visitor arrives through.
