Bark & Co needed a website that did justice to their Chambers and Legal 500 rankings — one that conveyed the depth of their specialist expertise across 16 practice areas, signalled authority to HNW clients, and remained accessible to those instructing on a legal aid basis.
We built a website that leads with authority — Chambers rankings, Legal 500 recognition, and notable case credentials front and centre — while structuring specialist expertise pages to serve both private and legal aid clients clearly and without ambiguity.
We mapped how clients instructing a specialist criminal defence firm approach the research process — often urgently, often via a referral or media search. Bark & Co’s notable case record, legal aid provision, and HNW expertise shaped every structural and content decision.
High-fidelity layouts were developed around a dark, authoritative palette appropriate for a firm handling SFO investigations, national security matters, and high-profile criminal cases. Expertise pages were structured for fast comprehension under pressure.
Key flows were tested across desktop and mobile — from landing on a specialist area page to finding a solicitor profile and making contact. Given the firm’s HNW client base, the premium feel of every touchpoint was validated at each stage of review.
Final refinements tightened hierarchy across the 16 specialist areas and balanced gravitas with accessibility — producing a site that holds its own alongside the most respected names in criminal defence.
